Recently, Chilli & Charli got a mention on Life Uncut and it’s one of those moments that’s really stayed with me. Like… what do you mean the small sleepwear brand I started a year ago gets an organic plug on one of the biggest podcasts in Australia??
On the episode “Ask Uncut – Underwhelming Proposal” (released 17 November 2025), Brittany Hockley talked about the pyjamas she’s been wearing a lot on her Instagram stories, and how every time she wears them, people message asking where they’re from.
She was talking about our limited-edition Penelope print. This print was really personal to me. I wanted it to include all the little elements that make up our brand. Our hero swans (Chilli & Charli, who the brand is named after), suns, hearts and of course, palm trees. Hearing Britt describe them as incredibly comfortable and not feeling like “just pyjamas”, the kind you can wear at home and still feel put together, really got me. That’s the exact feeling I want every set to give. Unbelievably comfortable, but still put together at the same time.
She also shared a bit of why this brand exists in the first place. I started Chilli & Charli during a season where comfort wasn’t optional. I’m a mum and had four kids in four years (yes four... the third one was twins!), and I was spending a lot of time at home wanting to feel good in what I was wearing. Hearing that story reflected back, in her words, felt pretty freaking amazing!!
The exact Frankie Penelope set she wears has since sold out (still wild to me), but the Margot Penelope set is still available for now, featuring the same limited-edition print.
Just one of those small business moments that makes you pause for a second and feel really grateful that something you created in a very real, very busy season of life is now being loved by so many others.
