Meet Casa Palma: Our Watercolour Artist Collaboration with Cass Deller
When I started dreaming up our next bamboo sleepwear collection, I knew I wanted to create something that felt a little different.
At Chilli & Charli, I've always wanted our pyjamas to feel like a holiday. Not just because they're comfortable, but because of how they make you feel when you put them on. The right sleepwear has a way of helping you slow down, switch off and bring a little more joy into your everyday routine. And to give that nostalgic feeling of holidays past.
That's why I was so excited to collaborate with Australian artist Cass Deller to create Casa Palma.
From the beginning, I knew I wanted the print to feel artistic, colourful and full of personality. I kept coming back to images of palm trees, tropical escapes and those carefree holiday moments where life feels a little slower and a lot more beautiful.
Rather than creating a traditional print, Cass hand-painted a collection of watercolour illustrations that became the foundation of Casa Palma. Palm trees became the hero, surrounded by abstract tropical details, hand-painted shapes and soft washes of colour that feel playful, relaxed and a little bit unexpected.
One of my favourite things about the print is that it genuinely feels like artwork. Every illustration started as a watercolour painting, giving the collection a softness and authenticity that you simply don't get with digital designs.
As a brand, we're all about creating luxury bamboo pyjamas that feel as beautiful as they are comfortable, and Casa Palma captures that perfectly. It's colourful without being loud, fun without feeling trendy, and designed to instantly transport you somewhere warmer, slower and sunnier.
The name Casa Palma, meaning "Palm House", felt like the perfect fit. To me, it evokes everything this collection represents: sunshine, relaxation, holidays and those little moments of self-care that we often forget to prioritise.
Of course, it wouldn't be Chilli & Charli without our signature bamboo fabric. Our bamboo sleepwear is loved for its buttery-soft feel, breathable comfort and relaxed fit, and I wanted Casa Palma to combine those practical benefits with something truly special visually.
The result is a collection of women's bamboo pyjamas that feels luxurious, comfortable and completely unique. The kind of sleepwear you look forward to changing into at the end of a long day.
Creating Casa Palma has easily been one of my favourite projects since starting Chilli & Charli. Bringing together an Australian artist collaboration, hand-painted watercolour artwork and our signature bamboo pyjamas felt like the perfect way to create something that reflects what our brand is all about.
Because while we can't all escape to a tropical island every week, we can create small moments that make everyday life feel a little more special.
And honestly, if a pair of beautiful bamboo pyjamas can make you feel like you're on holiday while you're drinking your morning coffee or winding down after a busy day, I think that's a pretty good thing.
